Been MIA...Big News!!!!

Hello everyone. I am pretty sure I am officialy the worst blogger in the blogosphere. Well there really has not been a whole lot of stuff going on other than regular life stuff. Todd got home from Iraq on Aug 18. After a 3 day long straight trip he finally arrived a day late! It was the best day! We went back to AR for a few weeks in Sept and have been home since then just trying to get back into a routine. But there has been one EXTREMELY exciting thing!
We are PREGNANT again!! 14 1/2 wks today actually. It happened so fast we were both very surprised and so thankful. It took 2 1/2 years to get pg with Ellana and it took a month to get pg with this one. This baby is due May 19, 2009 and Ellana will turn 2 on May 17, 2009. I have always said that I wanted my babies 2 years apart. I don't think we could have gotten any closer.
Ellana is getting so big! She just turned 18 months and she is a handful. So funny and smart and a pain in the booty! But she is the joy and light in our household. I just took her to the doctor and she is 31 lbs and 34 inches tall. So she is quite a big girl. She is talking up a storm but a lot of the words are words only I can understand. Well Ellana is getting mad at me so I better get going. I will update soon!

Catch Up

Well it has been quite a while since I have had a chance to write anything. Ella does not like it when I am on the computer and 'ignoring' her. I really think I may need to look into getting into a mommy and me class or something of the sort so that she can have other people to play with besides me. We are both doing really good. Just waiting on Todd to come home. He should be here within the next two weeks some time. Yay!!
Ellana is starting to do so many more things. She learns a new word everday. Today it was "kick". She said it while she was kicking a ball. Yesterday she said "good girl". And the two other recent ones were "kiss" and "dog". She is almost 15 months old. I truthfully cannot believe it. I have no idea where the last year went. But it has been fun. Now I want a new little baby since mine is no longer little :( But I must admit that this age has to be one of the funnest.
We really lead quite boring lives so I do not have much to talk about. But I wanted to do a quick update in case anyone does read this.

Vroom Vroom and Groovin

Ellana is the funniest baby! She LOVES any kind of music and anytime it comes on she will start dancing and singing. She has done this since she was about 4 months old but she is really getting into it now. Watch this video and you and can see for yourself. She is hilarious! (Please forgive my singing!)

I of course think that I have the smartest baby in the world, but I think that is just a mother's mentality. The day after her dancing video we were playing in the living room and she walked off. So I went to follow her and she had found her push toy and was pushing it around saying "vroom vroom". It cracked me up because I have never heard her say that nor did I even know she knew how. LOL! She is just such an amazing joy and I am so lucky to have her!

Wow! I have joined the world of bloggers!?!

Well I never thought that I would be one to write in a blog. I LOVE to read other peoples, but I just did not feel that I was eloquent enough to write about my life where others would want to read it. But I will just write whatever comes to mind and hope that my readers forgive any mistakes!

Today was quite a day. It has rained here every day for the last 2 weeks. I am going crazy! Keeping a 14 month old in the house for 2 weeks straight is NOT fun! The morning started off with Ella waking up early. So we get up and our day proceeds like normal. We were playing and I was 'chasing' her around our living room and into our kitchen. Well she was going one way and I was going another and I scared her. She jumped, laughed, then ran off. She was going so fast that she ran into one of the columns in our living room. She bonked her forehead then fell over and bonked the back of her head on the floor. Poor thing!! She was screaming her head off with big alligator tears coming down her face. I am laughing about it now, but it was not funny at the time!

Then when I thought the rain had finally stopped I decided to go out. I needed to take some movies back and I needed to run to wal-mart, so we left. When we got done at wally world I come out and the minute I take my first step out it starts pouring. So I am running with Ella in the cart to try to avoid getting her soaked and my jeans which are now too big and were weighed down by water were falling off! I bet I was quite a sight! So I get home and get Ellana inside and she is walking around while I am unloading groceries and I see her by my bedroom door which is closed. Then I hear a loud Bang and I look over. She is crying and her butt is up in the air and her head is against the door. (A lot like in the picture above!) She must have fallen again and hit her head on the door. My poor little girl! She will get the hang of this walking thing has been my mantra of the last few months!
